Lessons from 2025

As I wrap up my first season as a wedding planner and business founder, there are a few things I have already learned! I figured the best way to talk about my experience as a whole is through a little Q&A.

Overall, how was the season?

Amazing, better than I anticipated and I cannot believe how quickly it all went by. My cup is full!

What was the main takeaway?

The industry is incredibly supportive of new faces and I am so grateful to have made so many new connections. There is so much to learn, but with everyone I have met in the last year, I know that there is a team of folks that will happily lend a hand and offer advice.

What were you most scared about?

Executing on wedding day. I love planning and thinking about all the logistics and preparing for all possibilities on event day, but actually executing the event (with no room to research solutions) I was quite nervous about. BUT, when it came time to event day, I LOVED IT! The adrenaline, the joy and moments to pause, look around, see the guests having a great time and most importantly, the smiles and laughs of the couple.

Melting candle

What is something that went wrong that you didn't plan for?

The AC! I did not account of AC blowing on the candles, causing them to burn extra fast. We use real candle sticks without the glass shield. I remedied the situation

What are you working on for next season?

SO MANY THINGS!! I am going to expand my business and continue to develop my brand to bring curated storytelling into my events. Styled shoots to showcase creative ideas, tiktok to bring a bit of a science take on events, and more.
